Our prayerful presence at abortion sites is a peaceful witness

A strict discipline of prayer is maintained.

Our witness outside the abortuaries tells their neighbors and all who pass by, that we refuse to accept abortion as a legitimate profession. In order for our witness to be successful, it cannot in any way, shape or form be a demonstration, confrontation or protest; nor perceived as such by anyone in sight. It should inspire others to join us in objecting peacefully to the killing in their neighborhood.

Prayer procession

The following is a description of the prayer processions as they are done by the Helpers of God's Precious Infants in the Brooklyn diocese. If your parish is interested in hosting such an event, please contact us.
This is a pro-life procession with recitation of the Holy Rosary. It is not a protest. We do not carry signs nor display slogans, only our rosaries. At the head of the procession is a banner of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and a crucifix. The only other banners on display are :

A Prayer Procession for Life begins with Holy Mass at a church near an abortion site. At the end of Mass there is Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in the church. The Bishop or priest leads the people out of the church and through the streets while praying the Holy Rosary. There is no conversation. Those who remain in Adoration at the church during the Prayer Procession continue to pray.

At the site, fifteen decades of the Holy Rosary are prayed and a hymn is sung between each decade. The group then returns in prayer to the church for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, and the Prayer Procession is concluded. A parade permit is always obtained from the police beforehand and the police may accompany the group from the church to the abortion site and then back to the church.

During the procession, the sick, shut-ins and those unable to attend the Prayer Procession recite the Helpers Spiritual Support Prayer.

These Prayer Processions for Life enable us to draw new people to help establish a continued prayerful presence at the abortion site. This peaceful, prayerful public witness at the abortion site is a powerful instrument of conversion. The variety, numbers and incredible dedication of the people joining are inspiring.

This Prayer Procession is a public witness to those who pass by. Hopefully individuals will take notice of what is going on and be inspired to take action against the abortions in their neighbourhood. Processions may be held monthly. If it is not possible to maintain this frequency, quarterly processions may be held on, or close to, Marian feast days, for example :
